Gospel singer in trouble

Businessman cum gospel singer Emmanuel Mbasha, a husband of Flora yesterday appeared at the Ilala District Court in Dar es Salaam charged with two alleged offences of rape.

The prosecution led by Senior State attorney Nasoro Katuga claimed before Resident Magistrate Wilberforce Luago that the accused is alleged to have committed the offence between May 23 and 25, this year at Tabata Kimanga within Ilala District.

It was alleged that on that day the accused did have carnal knowledge of a 17-year old girl whose name is withheld without her consent.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and he is remanded in custody after failing to meet bail conditions.

The court ordered the accused to secure two reliable sureties, one of them should be working from any recognised institution and required to sign 5m/- bond each.

The case was adjourned until tomorrow when it comes up for mention and see it the accused has met the bail conditions or not.
Mbasha was sent back to the custody and this time he went to Keko Prisons under the prisons security.
